Booking Information

All orders made through Crumbelina are subject to the following terms and conditions. Please read the them before placing your order.  By paying your deposit it will confirm that you have read the terms and conditions and you agree to them.

Deposits
A non-refundable 50% deposit is payable to confirm an order.  An order is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Payments
Payment can be made by bank transfer, cash or card. Final Payments Final payments for celebration cakes must be made before the order is collected. For wedding cakes, the outstanding 50% payment must be made 6 weeks before your wedding date.

Non-payments
If final payment is not received, the order will not be completed or released until payment is made in full. Subsequent completion of the order will be subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Alterations to orders
If you wish to amend your order after it has been confirmed please contact me as soon possible to discuss the options available and at least 1 week prior to the event for celebration cakes and 4 weeks for wedding cakes. Please be advised that changes may incur an additional cost. Whilst every effort will be made to assist with changes, please note that late changes cannot always be guaranteed.

Collection
Your order must be collected at a pre-arranged time. Please note that once the order has been signed for and left the premises, Crumbelina takes no responsibility for any damage that may occur to your order. Please ensure after collection, you transport your order as flat as possible. I recommend that you place the order in the footwell of the passenger side of the car and not on a passenger’s lap. You should keep all orders out of sunlight and at room temperature. Orders should never be stored in a car except when travelling to the event. Orders with sugar paste or containing sugar paste decorations should not be kept in a refrigerator.

Delivery of wedding cakes
Your order will be delivered and set up at the venue address supplied by you and at a pre-arranged time with the venue.  It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that someone is available to receive your cake and sign the delivery paperwork.  A photograph of the cake will be taken prior to leaving the venue by Crumbelina to verify that the cake has been set up and left in good condition. As we specialise in buttercream and ganache wedding cakes we do not like to travel too far with them, therefore we only deliver within a 50/60 mile radius of Crawley, West Sussex.

Fresh Flowers
I am happy to liaise with your florist in order to dress your cake with a fresh floral arrangement. Please be aware some flowers can be toxic and should not be placed into contact with food. Your florist can advise you on the safest flowers to dress your cake with. Crumbelina is not responsible for any problems with fresh flowers and any damage caused to the cake caused by a fresh floral arrangement.

Allergies
All cakes are made in a kitchen that handles other allergens such as gluten, nuts, fruits, alcohol, dairy, eggs and more. Please inform us if you have allergies at the time of placing an order.

Cancellations/refunds
Crumbelina offers a bespoke service and is therefore limited in how many bookings are taken for any given week. If you wish to cancel an order close to the delivery/collection date it is unlikely that the cancelled space will be filled and therefore the following cancellation charges will apply. Cancellations MUST be in writing. Wedding cakes: 1 month or less – 100% of Full Cake Cost, 1 month or more – Loss of the deposit All other celebration orders: 1 week or less 100% of Full Cake Cost, 1 week or more – Loss of the deposit

Copyright
By placing an order you agree that Crumbelina is the sole designer and owner of the final cake design. All images and cake designs remain the property of Crumbelina. No person shall have entitlement to copy or reproduce in any form, or otherwise make use of any image, photograph or design produced by Crumbelina without prior consent. The customer has no ownership rights over any cake design. Crumbelina reserves the right to re-use and publish photographs of your cake as and when required.
